ABOUT ME

Michelle Davidson, Team Leader and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, began working with the Buchanan County Prosecutor’s Office in 2018. She has been a licensed attorney in Missouri for over 20 years specializing in the area of criminal law. Davidson obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She graduated cum laude from Missouri Western State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting.

        

Davidson began her career in public service in 2001 when she joined the Buchanan County Public Defender’s Office. She rose through the ranks and from 2005-2008 held the position of District Defender charged with managing that office. In 2008, Davidson transferred to the Fourth Circuit Public Defender’s Office where she continued to serve as the District Defender prior to joining the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in 2018.

 

As a trial attorney, Davidson has handled over 30 jury trials which include cases of first degree murder and other serious crimes against persons. She, along with the elected prosecutor, are part of the Career Criminal Task Force. She also holds positions on the Buchanan County Elderly Task Force and Northwest Missouri Multidisciplinary Team, while previously having served as an elected council member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Missouri Bar.
